Who We Are - Cormat Group

ABOUT CORMAT GROUP

Cormat Group is a leading engineering consultancy group specializing in corrosion management, HSE/safety studies, and audit services for the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. Beyond corrosion management, our multidisciplinary expertise encompasses health, safety, and environmental (HSE) solutions, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients. Cormat has its registered office in London, UK, with additional offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Our services span the entire project lifecycle, from the Concept phase through Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to Detail Design (EPC) phases. We offer materials selection for piping, vessels, heat exchangers, columns, valves, and instrumentation; corrosion monitoring using intrusive and non-intrusive techniques; sour service management; HSE/safety studies including risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental impact studies; protective systems such as paintings/coatings, welding, cladding/weld-overlay, passive fireproofing, insulation, and cathodic protection; chemical treatment; corrosion management plans; and risk-based inspection (RBI) with inspection recommendations. We also provide ad-hoc services to address immediate corrosion and safety challenges in design or during live operations. For select clients, we establish Master Services Agreements or Framework Agreements to deliver continuous support, including materials selection, on-site corrosion issue resolution, corrosion calculations, and preparation of reports and specifications.

Cormat Group assists clients in developing Corporate Standards to enhance their in-house corrosion management and HSE capabilities, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Additionally, while corrosion data collected from sites is often used only to address immediate concerns, Cormat offers advanced analysis of historical corrosion data to identify trends linked to operational practices. This enables clients to optimize operations, improve inspection techniques, and understand material longevity based on past performance, leveraging unique operational insights tailored to each client’s specific experiences.

Our team brings extensive experience across diverse facilities, including gas/condensate plants, Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) plants, LPG plants, sweet/sour plants, offshore/onshore plants, and pipelines (onshore, buried, and sub-sea). With projects spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and CIS regions, Cormat Group delivers tailored solutions to meet regional and operational needs, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients.
