Cormat Group provides a variety of services, but Integrated Engineering design services are one of our core services in the oil and gas sector. Completion of tasks before timeline, customer satisfaction sand quality work is our distinguishing trait.
Some of our services are mentioned below,
The main objective of CMP study is to reduce the total cost of ownership of the facilities. This objective will be achieved by specifying the materials selection and corrosion control requirements which are technically and commercially justified.
We provide our services in both offshore and onshore projects. For offshore projects materials selection, and corrosion management requirements shall be such that minimum human intervention is anticipated for corrosion management on platforms and subsea pipelines during the lifetime of the facility. CMP study may involve preparation of a lot of related documents such as Materials Selection Diagrams (MSDs), Materials Selection Table (MST), Corrosion Risk Assessment Study (CRAS), Integrated Operating Window (IOW).
Cormat Group have successfully completed numerous CMP studies for offshore and onshore projects. Some of deliverables/non-deliverables are mentioned above rather will be decided during KO meetings.
Materials selection is a particularly important field because reliability of complete structure is dependent upon the constructed materials specification. So, materials selection study is necessarily performed by well experienced, qualified and specialist field experts to avoid crucial threats to structure, safety, health, environment, and business.
Cormat uses a comprehensive and structured approach in accordance with industry guidelines such as API 580, 581, API 571 and NACE standards such as NACE MR0175 / ISO15156 – to identify potential damage mechanisms.
Our experts are professionally trained and certified.
Cathodic protection is substantially applied as a secondary corrosion protection system while coatings are used as primary protection system. However, if coating is disintegrated or damaged during service, CP system provides protection to parent metallic structure by use of adequate impressing current.
Cormat Group has highly trained, skilled, experienced and CP certified professionals to assist our client at any project stage. We provide quality service with cost-effective packages.
Welding is a process in which two or more parts are connected by using heat/pressure in such a way that there is no discontinuity in these parts of the metals. Pipes and equipment used in oil and gas field are usually manufactured by welding. So, it is necessary to have a deep insight into welding and welding inspection should be done with great care. All the parts involved in bulk oil transfer have great importance and leakage in any part can cause great damage by means of health, environment, and cost.
Welding Inspection is to control the quality of welding and welded pipes/equipment and to ensure the quality. A welding inspector will assure the specified after welding requirement and perform necessary action or provide suggestion to achieve welded parts fitness for the service.
Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) which is usually known as Nondestructive testing (NDT), is a technique used for materials examination without breaking or damaging the specimen.
Our NDE services encompass Visual Inspection (VI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT) and Fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI). The life of the equipment is highly affected by poor inspection.
In oil and gas fields, metallic parts with high risk factors are periodically inspected to ensure safety and life span. Cormat employed and provided well experienced inspectors to ensure welding specification or to perform any of the NDT techniques.

Risk based analysis is required to consider both the likelihood of the identified damage mechanisms and the consequences of a failure occurring. The total Risk is the combination of Likelihood and Consequence.
The likelihood assessment will be based on design, materials selection, coatings, cathodic protection, and other mitigation measures. “What-if” scenarios are also considered for upset cases, start-up, shut-down and contingent conditions (such as failure of single items of equipment). Overall, CRA study validates the materials selection and corrosion control criteria.
Corrosion Risk Assessment is also one of our core expertise in this field and we have done numerous projects.

High quality coatings which if properly applied can provide long-term protection. External corrosion protection coatings shall be selected based on maximum operating temperatures and surrounding environment. For internal corrosion protection, coatings shall be selected based on resistivity to the media and maximum operating conditions and fluid chemistry.
CORMAT provides expert and professional opinion related to coating management. We have a technical and experienced team to successfully submit coating plans for offshore and onshore projects.
